Summer is here and it is almost the 4th of July. This mystery model has nothing in common with the American War for Independence, except the name of the ship. This happens to be the master pattern for the model, which I received on Friday. I kind of fancy it, so I'll have to devote some thought if I'll send it back. Right now this pattern is the only model of this class, or indeed this type of ship for this particular navy, in the particular scale. There is still more work to be done with the hull and smaller parts but you'll probably see enough to perhaps develop some small degree of interest. After all it is not a model of a USS Arizona or USS Essex, so it may be an acquired taste. Can you identify the name of the ship, scale of the model and name of manufacturer?  Please post all answers to the message board.
