HMS ARK ROYAL Built from an 1:600 scale Airfix kit with a few embellishments. Radio masts were early Photo-Etch from Toms, extended to fit 1/600 scale. The small crane starboard forward was cut down from a KGV GMM 1/700 scale crane with angle modifications. Aircraft detail is sparse, hey the model was built six years ago and had I know then what I know now.... especially with all my knowledgeable fellow modelers on the net ...there would be less inaccuracies!! Still quite pleasing to the eye though it may be full of flaws and some dodgy colours....
