This is the Classic Warships 1:192 scale USS Sims altered as the USS Russell DD-414 in 1943. As the Classic kit is from the 1942 timeframe, some changes were to be made such as after deckhouse, twin 40mm with MK51 directors, replacing 20mm on aft deckhouse, MK 37gun and MK 12 radar director, mount 53 changed to open mounting. SC-2 radar, additional 20mm forward of pilothouse, late model depth charge racks. Motor whaleboat landed/ with additional rafts and floater net baskets replacing it. I want to thank ISW for supplying parts from their 1:192 scale Fletcher kit to make this job easier!
