Built in 1892 the 12 Apostolov (12 Apostles) never took part in any battles because she become obsolete really quickly. From a design point of view, this ship pioneered standards for all subsequent Russian pre-dreadnought battleships. She was a huge improvement in comparison with the Baltic Fleet's Alexander II and Gangut.
