Here's my build of HMS London, as photographed by Jim Baumann. This is a conversion of Combrig's 1:700 scale kit of HMS Queen. For comparison, a picture of Queen is also included. When World War One started in August 1914, the London was part of the 5th Battle Squadron. She was dispatched to the Dardanelles in March 1915 and then sent to Taranto in May 1915 to operate with the Italian Fleet. In 1917 she was ordered to return to the UK for conversion to a minelayer. In January 1918 London joined the 1st Minelaying Squadron.
