Here is a model of the USS Yorktown CG 48 that I built. It is 1/350 scale by Dragon. I was a crew member of the Yorktown from 1988 to 1990. I was on board when she was rammed by a Soviet ship in the Black Sea in 1988. I was a gunner's mate missile and worked on the Mk 26 missile launchers. You will notice the forward launcher is in normal stowed position with the arms up and the aft launcher in the helo sto position. We did this for normal steaming so we would not have to get up in the middle of the night to put the aft launcher in the sto position if they needed to land a helicopter.
