These are photos of my model of the German battleship Helg oland. I scratch-built it in 1:550 scale a while ago during my protracted monochrome phase when I was not very concerned with ship paint schemes. I was (and still am) mainly intrigued by the construction (or how to fabricate) aspect of model building. This model was built from very simple plans intended for a much smaller scale model.
