This is a model of the modern French Marine Nationale DeGrasse, which is one of three ships in the Tourville class of missile destroyers. This is the Heller kit of that class, which is good but sparse in detail. I used the excellent L'Arsenal resin/brass/decal upgrade set for this kit. I used Tom's Modelworks 1/400 scale railings instead of the L'Arsenal version cause the latter has individual stanchion ends which I find difficult to use. I also scratch-built some items, like the anchor points for the rigging, the wing platforms on the mack and on either side of the hangar and the chaff launchers. It took a while but I am satisfied with the results.
