This is the USS South Dakota battleship design which was cancelled as result of the 1922 Washington Treaty. The model is in 1:700 scale from Imperial Hobby Productions. This ship was constructed using the 1st release from Mike's company, back in the 90's, using brass tubing for the gun barrels, thus they may be a bit oversize. I used the barrels included, to base the size and caliber, for the ones I made. This is one of the 1st resin kits I had done, so
there was some experimentation to get the look/design I was looking for. Now if I can finish up a pair of the B-13's and the Invincible, also from IHP.
