L'Arsenal just released an upgrade set for the 1/400 scale Heller kit of the French post-WW II destroyers. Attached are some pictures for a review. After 1/700 scale resin kits of the French SURCOUF class destroyers, L'Arsenal now produces an upgrade set for the 1/400 scale Heller kit of this class, of which MAILLÉ BRÉZÉ is still in production. There are resin parts for the guns, including Oerlikon pedestals, the ASW torpedo tubes and their reload boxes, boats and life rafts, cranes and davits, the directors, and 4-blade propellers. A photo-etch fret has parts for masts and radar antennas, 20mm Oerlikons, stairways, ladders and railings. A decal sheet provides the windows of the bridge and pennant numbers for all ships of the class as well as their name plates.
