This is the first 1/700 kit I have built, after building 1/350 kits. I thought, after opening the box, that I had better add another lens to my magnifiers! This is Loose Cannon's Victory Ship kit, the USS Haskell APA 117. This is a very detailed kit and very well cast, with an extensive photo-etch fret. I built this for a gentleman whose father served on the Haskell. The kit matches well the numerous photos he supplied. I chose to rig the cargo booms with .002 nylon thread and .005 stainless steel wire. I also replaced the resin booms and masts with brass rod. The building is pretty straight forward, as per a very detailed set of instructions. I enjoyed very much building this fine little kit. To the Loose Cannon guys........Well Done!
