If you have been following SteelNavy for the past year or reading message board postings from Jacques Druel of L'Arsenal, you will recognize the name of Pierre Marchal. Pierre is working with Jacques for upcoming products from L'Arsenal. He does a great deal of scratch-building in 1:350 scale. This is the heavy cruiser USS Minneapolis CA-36 in 1945. She was reconstructed after being torpedoed in the Solomons. You can tell it is 1945 by the missing port catapult. Many prewar cruisers landed one catapult near the end of the war to compensate for additional weight added in new AA guns.
