The model is the BB-62 New Jersey. Tamiya in 1:350

First excuse: it’s the first model ship I’ve made in 15yrs, and the first model at all in 5yrs, the previous being 1:32 F15, now trashed by the kids.

Second Excuse, I don’t as yet have a modeler’s compressor, so the whole thing was brush painted. Would have attempted the brass etching kit, but I cannot afford/justify the £30/40 that I was quoted for it.

As a further foot-note, I can say that the kit is by far the best manufactured kit I’ve made to date. The precision of nearly all the parts was amazing. Only the absolute minimum of filling/shaving of parts was required.
