My Father-in-Law, Ted Kauffman, was the Catapult Officer on the USS Princeton CV-37 during the Korean War and gave me some photos of his tenure. While most of them are the standard "Service Life" fare, I noticed something that has come up in discussions on the message board before, the color of the flight deck after World War 2. Of these ten photographs, nine SEEM to show a blue tint, while the tenth can be nothing else.
