This is the old Revell/Monogram 1/426 scale U.S.S. Arizona. I built this kit long before the current controversy about the Arizona's final colour scheme. It's not an endorsement of the 5-D crowd; I'm sitting comfortably on the fence in that argument. The Gold Medal Model’s Arizona/Pennsylvania photo-etch set was used throughout. This is the first and last kit in which I replaced the kit-supplied deck with scribed pine. In the end I had to paint the pine to get the uniformity I wanted. After this kit I've stuck with Evergreen scribed styrene for decks.
