The four sets cover ships of the Royal Navy, Imperial Japanese Navy, US Navy and Deutsch Kriegsmarine. With six nameplates per set, Lion Roar had to choose which warships would be most popular. This is the set for the DKM, set LE700072.

This time the set is squarely aimed at 1:700 scale Yamato class models. The set is entitled IJN Cockboat Davits Set for Yamato Class LE700060.

The Kaga pattern is found in the Lion Roar Japanese Aircraft Carrier Masts Set II, LE700058. The lattice structure is taller in this design. In addition to Kaga, this pattern was found on Junyo, Ryujo, Hiyo and Taiho.

To the further delight of the modeler, different Japanese carriers had masts of different designs. With photo-etch set LE700057 Lion Roar provides 1:700 scale reproductions of the mast/towers found on five of the Pearl Harbor strike force carriers, plus three of the light IJN carriers.

This type was supplanted in 1944 by the Type 22 array. Lion Roar set LE700040 provides Type 21 radars by type.

A low electrical current was sent through the cable to lower the magnetic signature of the warship. This would reduce the chance of activating a magnetic mine or torpedo. If they are present as part of the deck detail, they are more likely to resemble amorphous blobs. Lion Roar has released a brass photo-etch set, LE-700008, that will supply you with detailed cable and hose reels for your 1:700 scale German warship kits, regardless if they are in plastic or resin. 
redball.gif (371 bytes) US Navy World War Two Radars, Lion Roar 1:700 Scale - There are quite a number of World War Two warships produced in 1:700 scale in injected plastic. Invariably plastic radar pieces are solid, clunky parts that poorly represent the fragile open framework of the actual radar arrays. The solution is to replace the plastic radars with photo-etch parts. Lion Roar now allows that to happen as they have produced a photo-etch set of USN radars in 1:700 scale.
