This is the Seal Models 1:700 scale Mikasa model that I made for a Japanese friend of mine a few years ago. This followed a visit to the real ship in Japan. It uses some White Ensign Models etchings. I wish that I had a finer filament for the rigging when I made it. The masts and spars were soldered from steel and brass wire. I don’t normally make ship models, but concentrate on railway modeling (see http://www.themodelrailwayclub.org/ and follow links to ‘layouts’ and ‘Copenhagen Fields’.
