I've just finished building the IJN Yamato in 1:350 scale from the kit by Tamiya, after a period of 6 months, since January. I would like to thank Caroline and Dave from White Ensign Models for providing me the photo-etch of WEM PE 3528 "Ultimate" IJN Yamato/Musashi. I've used references from the Gakken publication on the same subject. The photo-etch parts are really fine although the hatches need references to be placed properly. I've also built a base to simulate sea wake. The period shown represents April 1945. A side note: This model is dedicated to my mother, Ng Geok Ban, who supported me in this hobby and who has passed away on 22 March 2004.
