I have just completed the build of the brand new White Ensign Models Type 23 Frigate in 1/350 scale. I know it has only been released for two weeks but I had a head start having to build up part of the test shot whilst preparing the instruction sheets. I have built it as HMS Lancaster in her current 2007 fit with the new Mk8 Mod1 4.5-inch Gun and Westland Merlin HM1 Helicopter. I won't make any comments about the kit itself other than that it was a really pleasant build, but then I suppose I am a bit biased. I will leave it for someone else to do a thorough review and maybe we will see a few more ships of the class appearing from time to time.
