This kit nearly went into the trash. I built it several years ago, and it almost didn't come with us on our last move. But my wife frowned at the idea of disposing of Yamato. She reminded me of the time spent on it originally, and so I invested yet more time and effort, closely following the steps of an old Warship article on rebuilding old models. I must admit, the Easy-Off Oven Cleaner method worked great!
