These are photos of my model of the Japanese predreadnought battleship Yashima. I built it based upon drawings I found in a Japanese book published by Gran Prix. Yashima was one of the first battleships built for Japan. Yashima did not have a distinguished battle history. Early in the Russo-Japanese War, Yashima & Hatsuse sank after striking mines, greatly reducing the Japanese fleet strength. The model was built in 1:550 scale. Some models are more successful than others. I am particularly happy with this one.
