Here are photos of my build of the Trumpeter 1/350 scale Intrepid. The kit is a modified Trumpeter 1/350 USS Yorktown. I built the Intrepid as she was in early 1945. I used the Trumpeter kit, Gold Medal's photo-etch and Aircraft Decal Set, and additional Trumpeter aircraft kits. I was a midshipman on the Intrepid in the Tonkin Gulf in 1967, but modeled her in Measure 22 camouflage as she was in 1945. There are 85 aircraft on the flight and hanger deck which represent the aircraft she carried during her WWII operations.
